Slow Food NYC Chair, Anthony Fassio, attended the, Surviving the Global Food Crisis: Creating a Just and Sustainable Food System Workshop at the First International Montessori Adolescent Summit on April 12.
Along with Just Food, the United Nations Development Program, the Brooklyn Food Coalition, and the Farm to School Network, Slow Food NYC was interviewed by adolescents about the role their organizations play in implementing food programs across communities. Throughout the workshop students rotated directing questions pertaining to sustainable food system development.

At the end of the summit the students compiled thier learnings into recommedations which were presented on the floor of the United Nations.
